Sheikh Mansour-linked superyacht BLUE spotted off Syvota, Greece, alongside Flying Fox after arriving from Corfu.
Two luxury superyachts have attracted attention off the coast of Syvota, Thesprotia, in northwestern Greece, after arriving in the area around midnight from the island of Corfu.
The images, captured by the lens of thespro.gr, show the impressive mega yacht BLUE, which has been widely linked in international yachting reports to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Sheikh Mansour is also known worldwide through football, as the leading figure behind City Football Group, the group that controls Manchester City, one of the most successful clubs in world football in recent years.
The BLUE is considered one of the largest and most expensive superyachts in the world. It is approximately 160 metres long and is reported to operate with a crew of up to 80 people. Its estimated value is widely placed at more than 600 million US dollars.
A second yacht, the FLYING FOX, was also seen in the same area and appears to be accompanying the main superyacht presence off Syvota. The Flying Fox is another major luxury yacht, around 136 metres long, with a reported crew capacity of up to 55 people and an estimated value of approximately 400 million US dollars.
The arrival of the two yachts has sparked local interest, not only because of their size and value, but also because of the international profile connected to them, bringing together politics, business, luxury tourism and world football.
For Syvota and Thesprotia, the presence of such vessels also offers international exposure. The area’s clear waters, sheltered bays and strategic location in the Ionian Sea continue to attract high-end visitors and some of the world’s most impressive private yachts.
